CardiacDirect Employee Wins 1st in San Diego Half Marathon
Background:
Paul Wooten, an employee from CardiacDirect was training consistently for this race for two months. In fact, he was about to compete in last year’s race before acquiring an injury preventing him from competing.
What is the Silver Strand Half-Marathon?
The event is held by Life Sports Foundation which benefits CAF Operation Rebound. Therefore, it’s hosted all along the San Diego Bay along the famous “Silver Strand,” from Coronado to Imperial Beach. In addition, operation funds equipment, training, and travel expenses helping troops and first responders to harness the healing power of sport.
The Race:
His motivation to make a difference for a good cause was prominent. Most importantly, he felt by competing again he could raise support and awareness towards injured servicemen and women.
Employee, Paul, completed the 10-mile marathon in first place with a time of 104:15 representing CardiacDirect. Further, a local San Diego company dedicating itself to helping healthcare professionals improve their quality of care.
