How to connect to AC Power on the Schiller CARDIOVIT FT-1 EKG Machine
Notes on Battery and Power Supply
Note: The Schiller CARDIOVIT FT-1 EKG Machine can be operated from either the main AC power supply or the built-in rechargeable battery. Battery charging is indicated by the LED below the battery symbol.
- When the unit is connected and the battery is charging, the battery symbol will start flashing and display a lightning bolt.
- When the battery life is low, the battery symbol will turn red.
Connecting to AC Power
- Plug the power cord into the ‘DC In’ port on the back of the Schiller CARDIOVIT FT-1. (1st photo)
- Plug the other end of the power cord into an AC outlet. When connected, the LED below the battery symbol will turn on.
- Leave the CARDIOVIT FT-1 connected to fully charge the battery.
- Turn the unit on using the ON/OFF key. (2nd photo)

How to Install Paper on the Schiller CARDIOVIT FT-1 EKG Machine
Installing Paper
- Pull out the printer tray.
- Place a pack of EKG paper into the tray.
- Make sure the grid side is face up, and the black square is positioned towards the top of the unit.
- Pull out the first page.
- Reinsert the paper tray.
